18 EEKS!

Woo hoo!

Bennett experienced a lot of new things this week! My parent's neighborhood held their annual fireworks display on the 2nd, and Bennett loved them! He really enjoyed all the bright colors and wasn't even scared by the loud "booms." Bennett rolled over for the first time on the 3rd!! He went from his tummy to his back! Matt, my mom, and I all witnessed it. He rolled over 4 times that day and hasn't since. I think it is his party trick - he only pulls it out on certain occassions. 3 weeks later, we are still waiting for him to dazzle us again. :) We ventured to the pool on the 4th of July, but because it had been so rainy all week, the water was freezing! So no swimming for us! Sherry and I did put Bennett and Emma's feet in the water though so they could splash around. There was plenty of good cousin time on the 4th! Here are some pictures from the week!

Celebrating with a smidge of drool....

Right after Bennett rolled over from his tummy to back.

Lots of tummy time...

He is so good at pushing himself up. It's no wonder that he rolled from his tummy to back first!

I love his eyes in this one!

Another pose!

Eating his hands.

Bennett in his stroller gearing up for a walk. His binky is his favorite thing now...

He had plenty of entertainment along the walk...

Hanging out with cousins Emma and Mason. They are all getting so big!

They look so happy!!

They love each other. Isn't Emma a doll?

More good cousin time. Bennett already knows how to share. (Yes, those are all his toys.) :)

Grammy with Bennett before the fireworks.

Family pic.

Pool day on the 4th! It was a little chilly.

Our friends Chris and DiAnne from DC sent this shirt for Bennett right after he was born! Thanks guys! He would be a very handsome president!

The water was too chilly for swimming, but not for putting our feet in! ...And of course Bennett was eating his hands....

Enjoying the water with Sherry and Emma.

The results are in!!! (Bennett's 4 month doctor's appointment!)

Matt, Bennett and I just got home from Bennett's 4 month doctor's appointment! The above picture was taken while Bennett was on the doctor's table waiting for the doctor! I took it with my cell phone so it is a little fuzzy. Bennett did great and was so smiley! His development is right on track and the doctor was very impressed with how well Bennett was holding his head up and holding his body up while doing some tummy time. Matt and I were super excited to learn his new stats...and we definitely weren't surprised with what we found out. Bennett's head is now 16.69" and in the 52nd percentile. He weighs 15 pounds and 13.8 ounces and is in the 67th percentile. And...last but not least...Bennett is 26.75 inches long and in the 94th percentile!!! Woo hoo! We have a tall boy on our hands! Everything went well, and even the shots weren't quite as bad as I was thinking...Mommy and Daddy didn't cry this time! Bennett cried for a little while and then calmed down and had a nice little nap on the car ride home! He is in good spirits now playing in his exersaucer and later will enjoy a warm bath!

4 months!!

Bennett is 4 months old!!! Bennett has his 4 month doctor's appointment tomorrow. Matt and I can't wait to learn his "stats." He is getting bigger every day! Not so excited about another round of shots though...we will probably have to stop and get Bennett another toy to try to smooth things over. Poor baby. I will be sure to update the blog once I have a chance. Enjoy these pics of our 4 month old, Bennett!!

Enjoying some floor time for his photo session.

Will Bennett be a KISS fan??? The jury is still out...

Full length shot. So long!

So smiley!

"I am such a happy boy!"

17 weeks! Bennett visits the pool!

17 weeks! What is new in Bennett's world? He is "eating" his hands like crazy and smiling/laughing/cooing up a storm! Bennett still hasn't rolled over yet...but he is still trying! This weekend Bennett visited the pool twice! I love summer, and it is even more fun with a little dude to play with! Matt and I think Bennett really enjoyed the pool. The first day out he was pretty tired and had his eyes closed a lot of the time...he was pretty relaxed in the warm water! The second time around Bennett was acting like an "old pro" and loved splashing. I even spotted him kicking his little legs. He was stylin' in his new swimming trunks and sun caps! I took tons of pictures...and posted plenty! :) Bennett also joined Matt and I at our friend Joe's wedding reception! He was a hit amongst all of our friends... he was certainly "one of the guys." Bennett got passed around plenty that night and didn't cry once! He did great and Matt and I loved showing him off! Here are some pictures from this week...he is so photogenic!

17 weeks! Please enjoy the next few pics from his photo session...aka "the many faces of Benny Boy."

Just hanging out with one foot flexed and one foot pointed...his usual stance. He's been rockin' this look since birth. He has great toes.

Whoa! Happy dance!

Eating his hands...and kind of falling forward.

Happy camper face.

What a sweet little guy.

He's pretty awesome!

After the pool relaxing in his Boppy. Just playing with his toes.
