The Big Two-Six! ....26 weeks....

This weekend while Matt was in Manhattan, Bennett and I ventured to the zoo with Sherry, Matt, Mason and Emma. It was a pretty warm day so we didn't stay to terribly long. While we were there though we had a really close encounter with an elephant and got to see a couple hippos snuggling. Bennett stayed in his stroller for most of the visit...he was enjoying the walk.

Sherry and I also made Bennett and Emma homemade baby food this weekend! It was so much fun! We both spent $6 and together we made sweet potatoes, carrots, peas, squash, and mangos! We used frozen and organic fruits and vegetables and everything is so colorful and tastes great! We are definitely going to do that again. Our freezer is full of baby food! That evening, Bennett tried his first baby food...carrots! His first experience with carrots wasn't a great one...in fact he really didn't like them at all and started crying! He has had them a few more times now and loves them! Feeding him vegetables has been a lot of fun.

Here are some pictures from this week!

Bennett looks like such a big boy in his new shirt and tough guy jeans!

I took tons of pictures of him because he looked like such a stud. He's even wearing his new shoes!

Little love bug.

Hello!

I LOVE this picture!

Close up on Bennett's tough guy jeans. Matt and I went all over the city trying to find those at The Gap. They were even sold out of his size online. There was only one pair left in the city and surrounding areas, so of course we took a trip to pick them up! They were DEFINITELY worth it!

Close up of the awesome elephant! He was right by the fence!

Darling hippos...

Me and the dude.

Bennett and Emma in the double stroller. Grammy took them for a long walk and the babies enjoyed a long nap!

First bite of carrots...

Bennett was not a fan at all...

Sad.

Another bite.

What a face!

6 Month Stats!

Bennett visited the doctor today for his 6 month appointment! He did great at the doctor's office...even though he had 4 shots! :( We were pleased to hear that Bennett is 18lbs .2oz and in the 61st percentile and 26.87 inches long and in the 67th percentile! He is doing great and the doctor was very happy with his progress!

Happy 6 Months Bennett!!

I can't believe that Bennett is 6 months old today!! We went to dinner last night to celebrate his birthday with Grammy, Poppy, Aunt Sherry, Uncle Matt, Mason and Emma...and then headed to Grammy and Poppy's house for cake and presents! While posing for some pictures with his cake, Bennett decided to "go all in" and stick his hands right in the frosting! He then got the icing all over Emma! It was pretty funny! Bennett loved his birthday gifts! Grammy and Poppy gave him a fantastic sweater and a book, and Aunt Sherry, Uncle Matt, Mason and Emma gave Bennett a book and some finger paints! We are definitely finger painting this weekend! Bennett has his 6 month doctor's appointment tomorrow afternoon, so I will be sure to post his stats when I have a second! Happy Birthday "Baby B!!" Here are some pictures from tonight and from the party yesterday!
Bennett's sign didn't last very long....

Bennett eating his sign...

What a big boy! He is really good at sitting up!

25 weeks! Bennett Meets a Cow!

Bennett had a big week! He is still going crazy over cereal...in fact he is eating 3 tablespoons of cereal twice a day! He is really doing great with it! Bennett is sitting up a lot on his own and is so proud of himself. On Saturday we visited the Shatto Dairy which is about an hour north of KC. The dairy was awesome! Bennett got to pet some cows...I even got to milk one! It was a pretty fun morning. We tried all sorts of delicious milk, including Root Beer milk and Orange milk! The samples we great! So tasty! Here are some pictures and smiles from this week! :)

Enjoying some tummy time.

Super sweet smile.

Focusing on the ducks. He LOVES this toy!!

Hanging out with Minnie Mouse.

Posing before the tour.

Inside the baby cow barn. There were even baby cows that were only a day old in there! Super cute!

This baby cows was so sweet...Bennett loved her!

This cow was 15 years old! Dairy cows are only supposed to live 7-8 years, so this cow was doing pretty well!

Bennett fell asleep during the tour. He was so snuggly.
