28 weeks

Bennett is 28 weeks! Woo hoo! This week Bennett has been enjoying a lot of floor play fun! He has been sitting up really well lately! We have started building towers with blocks so that he can knock them over. He has the best smile after the blocks fall over...he is so proud of himself! On Sunday we went to my Uncle John and Aunt Jamie's farm in Liberty, Missouri. Bennett was able to pet the horses and even fed one horse a carrott! Bennett also was able to take his first ride on the Gator with Daddy and Aunt Jamie. We love going out to the farm! Here are some pictures from this week...and of our little farmer. :) I uploaded our first video of Bennett on the floor, too...enjoy!

K-S-U Wildcats! 27 weeks.

What a busy week! Friday morning, Bennett and Emma took their 6 month pictures together at Aunt Sherry's. The photographer was AWESOME and we had a really good time with the babies. We can't wait to see the pictures and hope the turned out well. This weekend we made the trip to Manhattan with Sherry, Matt, Mason and Emma to go to the first K-State game of the season...and the first K-State game for Bennett and Emma! Friday night we went the Power Play on Poyntz, which is basically a big purple street party and pep rally! There was live music, games, fireworks...and I was even able to grab Willie the Wildcat for a picture with Bennett! It was a really fun night and we all really enjoyed it! Saturday before the game we visited City Park and everyone got a chance to right the "mommy swings". Mason LOVED the park...I can't wait until Bennett is a little older so he can enjoy it more, too! We tailgated for a little while and then had a great time at the game! Bennett did awesome, loved cheering, and even made friends with everyone around him! We only stayed until halftime since the game started at 6:00 and then we ventured on back to Kansas City. It was a really fun weekend! I think we will be able to make one more game this season with Bennett! We are really looking forward to a game with Grandma and Grandpa Wertzberger...they were in Cancun while we were in Manhattan so we missed seeing them! Enjoy these pics from the weekend!

Hanging out in his new digger shirt.

Checking out his lion friend.

More Minnie time...

Bennett has started scooting. He gets his knees underneath him and then uses his head to move forward. He wants to start crawling so bad and gets so frustrated when he isn't able to go where he wants to. He is definitely making progress though!

Check out those feet!

He loves his lion.

Bennett's first sippy cup!

I think he likes to chew on it more than drink from it.

Bennett at Purple Power Play on Poyntz in Manhattan. He looks like such a big boy!

I tracked down Willie for a picture and he grabbed Bennett! I accomplished my goal! Hooray!

Hanging out and listening to the KSU band.

Bennett's first tailgate!

What a fan!

Bennett was enjoying his bottle just before kick off. Then when the game started, he got a bit freaked out by all the screaming and started crying. The rest of the game was smooth sailing.

Bennett loved cheering with Daddy!

The Big Two-Six! ....26 weeks....

This weekend while Matt was in Manhattan, Bennett and I ventured to the zoo with Sherry, Matt, Mason and Emma. It was a pretty warm day so we didn't stay to terribly long. While we were there though we had a really close encounter with an elephant and got to see a couple hippos snuggling. Bennett stayed in his stroller for most of the visit...he was enjoying the walk.

Sherry and I also made Bennett and Emma homemade baby food this weekend! It was so much fun! We both spent $6 and together we made sweet potatoes, carrots, peas, squash, and mangos! We used frozen and organic fruits and vegetables and everything is so colorful and tastes great! We are definitely going to do that again. Our freezer is full of baby food! That evening, Bennett tried his first baby food...carrots! His first experience with carrots wasn't a great one...in fact he really didn't like them at all and started crying! He has had them a few more times now and loves them! Feeding him vegetables has been a lot of fun.

Here are some pictures from this week!

Bennett looks like such a big boy in his new shirt and tough guy jeans!

I took tons of pictures of him because he looked like such a stud. He's even wearing his new shoes!

Little love bug.

Hello!

I LOVE this picture!

Close up on Bennett's tough guy jeans. Matt and I went all over the city trying to find those at The Gap. They were even sold out of his size online. There was only one pair left in the city and surrounding areas, so of course we took a trip to pick them up! They were DEFINITELY worth it!

Close up of the awesome elephant! He was right by the fence!

Darling hippos...

Me and the dude.

Bennett and Emma in the double stroller. Grammy took them for a long walk and the babies enjoyed a long nap!

First bite of carrots...

Bennett was not a fan at all...

Sad.

Another bite.

What a face!
